When you think of New York the first three things that spring to mind are probably The Statue of Liberty, the September 11 bombings and the beloved New York Yankees Baseball Dynasty. The global economic recession has affected a lot of major companies in the past year and as we enter the year that is 2010 another major corporation is under fire. This corporation is the Tiger Woods Inc, which is a billion dollar global juggernaut.  In this particular case the global recession is not to blame, it is more a case of the allure of the fairer sex. Yes if u have been on planet earth from around the beginning of December 2009, I am sure you have seen a caption saying Tiger Woods is not only the world’s greatest golfer!! Still on the same story, can someone please tell Sir Alex Ferguson to stop blaming the referees for every defeat his team suffers. I guess he is doing his job and shielding his underperforming squad from what is rapidly becoming obvious, this years’ is not as good as the vintage united teams of yesteryear.

The springbok machine continues to roll as they recently added a 3rd Tri-Nations title to their already burgeoning trophy cabinet. South Africa as a nation has a huge talent pool of players to draw on, which is unrivalled in the world. Imagine if the old enemy Australia had a similar pool to draw from, well that is a question I am sure a lot of rugby followers would like to debate!
